At Net Impact, we work with social enterprises and non-profits to improve their performance and broaden their impact. We are not only here to teach you how to ace a case interview — we are focused on an impact-driven approach to business, and creating a socially and environmentally sustainable future.
As a consultant, you will have the opportunity to choose your own cause and create a tangible impact on the world. We work with a variety of clients across many different spheres of social impact.
Our members come from many different majors and backgrounds, bringing multiple perspectives when approaching social impact problems together. Our alumni have taken on a variety of career pathways both within consulting and in other fields like healthcare, law, technology and more.
We are part of a global network of hundreds of Net Impact chapters across the world, allowing you to connect with other students and working professionals.

Recruitment typically takes place during the Fall and Winter quarters.
The first step in the application process is submitting an online written application. Winter 2025 applications are due by Friday, January 10th at 11:59 PM PST. You will be notified through email of your application status.

We accept all majors! Whether you are interested in education, sustainability, finance, technology, or healthcare, there is a space for you in Net Impact.

We do not have a specific cutoff. Our club size is dependent on the number of applications we receive, along with the quality of applicants. We strive to accept as many talented and capable applicants as possible, whose values are aligned with ours and whom we believe will be a good fit in Net Impact.

Prior experience in consulting is not required. We welcome and encourage people of all majors and backgrounds to apply.
Our members do not necessarily intend to pursue consulting as a career. At Net Impact, we provide our members with the resources to grow professionally and to explore their career interests, both within and beyond consulting.

We are looking for individuals who demonstrate:
Genuine passion for social impact
Problem solving and critical thinking skills
Ability to propose creative solutions
Team building and communication skills
We believe these are individuals who will fit into our community at Net Impact, and contribute meaningfully to the work that we do!

Our interviews consist of both behavioral/fit questions and a consulting-style case. The main goal is to get to know you better personally and to assess your analytical abilities and communication skills.
The best way to approach these interviews is to highlight your skills and experiences, and show your passion for the social impact cause you believe in most.

Even if we are unable to offer you a position in Net Impact, we would still love to be a resource for you in your social impact journey.
